Health & Safety Officer

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement all the heath and safety measures as applicable;
  • Updating of health and safety procedures, risks assessment;
  • Conduct training on safety measures/ induction training for newcomers;
  • Liaise with concerned parties for inspections/ renewals of permits/ injuries;
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health measures.

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years experience as Health and Safety officer in a Manufacturing environment;
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or other related subjects.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Applicant should be a registered health and safety officer (Ministry of labour – Factory Inspectorate);
  • Fully conversant with OSHA and other legal requirements;
  • Writing skills/ Report writing (English & French);
  • Good Communications skills (English & French);
  • Well organized;
  • Able to work odd hours.
