MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement all the heath and safety measures as applicable;
- Updating of health and safety procedures, risks assessment;
- Conduct training on safety measures/ induction training for newcomers;
- Liaise with concerned parties for inspections/ renewals of permits/ injuries;
- Ensure compliance with safety and health measures.
DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years experience as Health and Safety officer in a Manufacturing environment;
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or other related subjects.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Applicant should be a registered health and safety officer (Ministry of labour – Factory Inspectorate);
- Fully conversant with OSHA and other legal requirements;
- Writing skills/ Report writing (English & French);
- Good Communications skills (English & French);
- Well organized;
- Able to work odd hours.
